Welcome to Mama's Farmhouse

Completed in April 2009, with doors swinging wide open not long after , Mama's Farmhouse in Pigeon Forge is the newest and one of the most convenient ways for you and your family to get the Southern-home style meal you drove here for.

No expense was spared in providing the southern kitchen and farmhouse atmosphere. The antique farmstead decor was built from the ground up, as evidenced by a noticably clean, simple and spacious environment. No crowded table cities or peanut-shelled floors here. no walls crumbling under the weight of random objects scavenged from wherever; Mama ran a clean and decent kitchen, so we will too.

You will be surprised and pleased at how Mama's Farmhouse stands out in the genre of family restaurants. The large family tables have built in lazy susan's on top of the table that make passing the salt, butter, taters and more efficient and fun. A gracious server takes your drink orders, gets you a basket of biscuits and corn bread to begin your dining experience.

You won't need to order your fried chicken, green beans, pinto beans, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and southern fried steak - its already coming. And if you and your family finish all that is brought -there is more waiting for you because it is ALL YOU CAN EAT!
Just when you think you have had all the great Southern Cookin you can enjoy, the peach cobbler or banana pudding top off the meal. The vanilla ice cream on the peach cobbler is a true delight.
Its a LOT of food, so don't come alone - bring the whole family.
You'll be glad you did.

  1. We ate at Mama's Farmhouse today and it was TERRIFIC! You certainly won't leave hungry. We loved the decor, we are from the midwest and it reminded us of home. Great meal!

  2. We ate there on the recommendation of a friend who'd been there before. We had a group of 10. After 30 minutes, we were told they were just clearing our table -- but the restaurant wasn't busy!
The food was so-so, and the service was pitiful. Our waitress was absent for long periods, and she only checked with one end of our large table -- never asking the other half what was needed.
I am an adult who has a medical issue so can't eat a large amount of food. There is no option for ordering a la carte. I probably had a total of 1 cup of food and a small dish of cobbler, plus a glass of tea. The waitress was very bad about refills. All of that cost me $20.83. I could have eaten at Aubrey's or Regas in Knoxville for less and would've had better food and immensely better service!
Now, if you are a person who can consume massive amounts of food, I suppose $21 is a fair price. Or, if your wallet isn't concerned about getting value for your money, $21 plus tip may not be a big deal.
I won't be back. And, I won't be recommending this restaurant for normal eaters or people who need to watch their eating-out budgets. Oh -- and there's no senior discount, but there is for "locals."

  3. Oh my goodness!!! this was the best homecooking I've had other than my mothers. It met every bit of expectation I could have had and well worth the price. I usually don't eat this much but whewwww!!! I wasn't leaving anything. The atmosphere was homey, the folks were good ole southern folks and top that off with excellent food ... best kept secret in the hills. Our server, Ron, was awesome ... felt like family waiting on us.

Can't wait to plan our next trip up there ... gonna be a "girls weekend" and top off with Ron serving us meals.

Thanks a bunch and we will be back!
